Girl Climbing Camp

18.11.2017 - 25.11.2017

There’s no denying that climbing experience is affected by gender. We’ve created this girls only climbing trip coached by female climber. This 2 week ladies-only climbing holiday runs from 16th June 2017 in the sport climbing mecca of Rodellar, Spain. The days may be testosterone-free but we’ll help you to push your personal limits. Girls for Grils!

Here at Rockbusters we always try to be different and we know that some climbing schools and climbers can be a bit macho. It’s not about who can climb highest or the fastest, it’s about challenging yourself and getting better. But because we know it’s sometimes a bit much, we’ve set up our “Girls on Rock” climbing trip.

Of course, you might not be averse to the macho stuff, you might just fancy a girls holiday and the chance to meet some new climbing buddies, with no agenda.

Whatever your reasons, this girls-only camp take place in the single best sport climbing location in Spain.. It’s a unique opportunity for you to climb and hang out with girls who love every minute they spend on the rock.

So just grab your climbing shoes and come join us. We guarantee new climbing experiences, progress and a warm and friendly atmosphere.

All girls and ladies are welcome on this Spanish climbing holiday, no matter what grade you currently climb. As a general rule (although not always) women usually have less strength than the guys but in our camp we’ll show you that power is not everything when it comes to your performance on the rock. Precise technique and good mind control are the most important elements. Motivation to learn and progress comes as standard on all our girls-only climbing trips.

Specific climbing techniques for ladies, building up more confidence, getting faster and more explosive are among the things we will focus on. The goal is to improve your climbing performance and overall enjoyment on the rock.

On our “Girls on Rock” trip you’ll learn:

  • How to belay safely, set up top-rope, lead and other technical aspects to build your knowledge

  • Using a guide book and local advice to get to know a climbing area

  • Climbing calls and communication so you won’t sound like a rookie

  • Basic movement skills for improved efficiency and better climbing

  • Cleaning anchors and a basic understanding of outdoor risks so everyone gets home safe

  • Slab/vertical ground and precise footwork

  • Efficient movement and saving energy when leading F5 or above

  • Advanced coaching (overhangs etc) for those leading F6c or above
